From CBS Marketwatch, Nov. 24:

Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg is turning up pressure on Washington for comprehensive immigration reform, calling it “one of the biggest civil rights issues of our time.”

That’s what the 29-year-old billionaire told ABC News in an interview that aired Sunday. It was nearly a week after a group he backs said it was launching a new ad campaign urging congressional action on the issue.

And on Wednesday, Zuckerberg brought together undocumented immigrants for a marathon programming session called a “hackathon” as part of his campaign to get Congress to pay attention.

Zuckerberg told ABC: “The future of our economy is a knowledge economy. And that means that getting the most talented people into this country is the most important thing that we can do to make sure that the companies of tomorrow are founded here.”
